Do I need to get the local currency before I travel?

There is no need to buy foreign currency before your trip. It’s best to wait until you arrive to withdraw money from an ATM which are at all international airports and in most towns. If you can, avoid having to exchange your home currency for local currency at currency exchange shops, which can have poor exchange rates and high fees.
