Do I need a UK ETA to travel to Europe?

Starting in 2025, if you are traveling or transiting through to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland you must apply online for an UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). No ETA is needed if you transit airside, but if you pass through UK Border Control, one must be obtained before departure.
